for NRCS Employees Working with Partner Employees and Contractors

Updated 02/07/2008

All partner employees or contractors working in NRCS facilities for six (6) months or more, and/or requiring access to the USDA computer network for 30 days or more, must complete a background investigation.

Quick reference to common computer security questions.

What do I do when…

1. The District or RC&D Office hires a new employee?

2. A non-federal employee discontinues employment with the District or RC&D Office?

3. I have a contractor that will be using the USDA computer for 30 days or more?

4. I have a State Government (F&W Biologist) employee that will be working with NRCS staff and requires access to the USDA computer network?

5. The contractor that was working on a project is no longer using a USDA computer?

6. The Fish & Wildlife Biologist is no longer partnering with NRCS?

7. The F&W Biologist has level 2 eAuthentication but needs permissions set for Toolkit and/or Protracts?  (You must click on prior link to generate an email to Christy Morgan)
